On Wednesday, October 8th (2014) Archives, Yorkville’s newest jewelry and lifestyle boutique, held a grand opening event.

Located adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel, Archives stocks some of the world’s most unique jewelry collections and lifestyle brands. In addition to Archives’ owner Jaleh Farhadpour’s own signature collection, the shop also boasts the inclusion of Meissen, Iradj Moini, and Delfina Delettrez – among others.

In attendance:  Iradj Moini , Jerry & Carole Grafstein, Jeanne Beker, Bonnie Brooks, Jenna & Vonna Bitove, and Addison Gill.

On Monday, September 29th (2014) Veuve Clicquot held its annual ‘Business Woman Award’ event – this year celebrating Cora Mussely Tsouflidou.

Tsouflidou, of Cora’s Breakfast and Lunch fame, began her restauranteur career in 1987 and now oversees over 100 franchise restaurants across Canada.

Created in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot, the annual Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award champions the success of business women worldwide.

Also in attendance:  Janette Ewen, Mary Symons, Shawn Gibson, and Nolan Bryant.

On Wednesday, September 17th (2014), The Design Exchange (DX) held an event to celebrate the opening night of its newest exhibit – Politics of Fashion | Fashion of Politics.

The exhibit, curated by Sara Nickleson and Jeanne Beker, explores the relationship between fashion and society and will run at the DX until late January (2015).

In attendance:  Nicky Hilton, Shauna Levy, Galen & Hilary Weston, Jeremy Laing, Jenna Bitove, Frank Toskan, and Syliva Mantella – among others.

On Friday, September 12 (2014), The Metrick family hosted a cocktail and Q&A with rock photographer Norman Seeff at Elte.

Seeff has photographed some of music’s biggest names, including Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, and Ray Charles.  Seeff’s photos are now available for purchase, for the first time, at Elte on Ronald Ave.

On Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th (2014), Bungalow 8 held pop-up events at the Thompson Hotel rooftop.

A celebrity favourite, Bungalow 8 was a club in New York founded by Amy Sacco in 2002.  The brand now lives on through Sacco and her various film festival pop-ups.

In attendance:  Chris Evans, Bill Murray, Sam Worthington, Taryn Manning, Nicola Peltz, Lacey Chabert, Darren Aronofsky, Adelaide Kane, and Harvey Weinstein – among others.

On Friday, September 5th (2014), Stand Up To Cancer Canada held a screening party for its first major fundraising telethon.

The event, which took place during TIFF at Andrew Richards Design, featured the attendance of Ben Stiller, Rufus Wainwright, Nikki Yanfosky, and Jason Priestley – among others.

More than CAD $119 million has been pledged so far in U.S. and Canada in connection with the Sept 5 Stand Up To Cancer fundraising special.

On Thursday, May 22nd (2014) Guerlain celebrated 30 years of its terracotta line of products with an event at La Société.

This event was the culmination of a week of smaller-scale activations in Toronto to celebrate the anniversary. Similar activations and events also took place in Montreal.

On Monday, April 28th (2014), the Crescendo Gala was held in support of the Regent Park School of Music (RPSM).

The fundraiser, which took place at Slaight Hall in the Daniels Spectrum on Dundas St. E., featured numerous musical performances by Jim Cuddy, the Devin Cuddy Band, and the RPSM students.

Element Financial was the evening’s presenting sponsor and Q107’s John Derringer acted as host.  Other ‘whole note’ sponsors included:  The Daniels Corporation, EquiGenesis, Manulife Financial, and Sirius XM.
